Greetings Saints in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let me begin by saying that there is no greater power than that which lies in the Word of God. The Word of God is indeed our everything, it is reverence and belief in the awesome power of the Word that sets us apart from the World.

Psalm 119 v 105 reads as Thus:

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

It is with the same importance and total dependency that David had when he declared the importance of the Word in leading and ordering his step; that we too ought to declare and believe about the Word of God.

Psalm 119 v 89 -92 89Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven [stands firm as the heavens].90 Your faithfulness is from generation to generation; you have established the earth, and it stands fast.91 All [the whole universe] are your servants; therefore they continue this day according to your ordinances.92 Unless your law had been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.”

After everything has taken place in our lives it is the word of God that remains, it is the word that stands the test of time.  We spend many minutes, hours, days, months and even years trying to “plan” for the future, however we forget that the Word is the final authority in one’s life. It does not matter how much effort, dedication and time is spent on focusing in planning for the future, but if our plans are not in line with what God’s says then we are wasting our time. If anything our efforts must be making time for God for declares in Jeremiah 29 v 11 that he knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us and never to harm us.

Why must we live in “Could I”, “should I” and “would I” moments when we know that the word has the very best for us and the very last say about our lives? It is in the word that we find our identity by being deeply rooted. God’s faithfulness in our lives is truly amazing, when we reflect and think about where God has taken us, we can attest that the Word is alive, and that God truly does not turn from his word, that his word accomplishes that which it intends.

May God richly bless you as your dependency on him and in the Word of truth is increased!
