Greetings Saints the only way I could do this topic was to write about my own experience in the matter. When I got born again I was like the Athens (Acts17: 16-37) who did not know YAHWEH (exodus 3:13-15) our God don’t get me wrong, I am not yet in a place where Daddy wants me to be, but thank God I am not the same as yesterday ( as my Pastor Dr.E.F Khambule puts it nicely). The Athens had different altars of worship and in the mist there was the one written “TO AN UNKNOWN GOD”- Paul was distressed by this and stood in a meeting that he was taken to and as he stood he said the following:

So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

Acts 17:24 -28 24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[a] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’[b]”

To me YAHWEH my father was unknown and thus struggled when it came a time to worship. I had a zeal infused that propelled me to want to know this unknown God.

If you were to look up the word “sovereign” in the dictionary, you would find words and phrases like “superior,” “greatest,” “supreme in power and authority,” “ruler,” and “independent of all others”

My understanding

Sovereignty of YAHWEH is a biblical teaching that all things are under God’s Rule and control and that nothing happens without his direction or permission. YAHWEH works not just somethings but all things according to the counsel of his own will (Eph.1:11) His purposes are all-inclusive and never thwarted (Isaiah46:11); Nothing takes him by surprise. The sovereignty of YAHWEH is not merely that God has the power and right to govern all things, but that He does so, always and without exception in other words God is not just sovereign in principle but sovereign in practice.

Now in getting to know this, it effectively made my worship a time of pleasure, the revealed knowledge enforced me to want to know more. When I sometimes feel that my vocabulary is limited and that the words do not do justice, I thank the Holy Spirit as he actively and faithfully fills the gap. I had to and still stay in fellowship and let my helper Holy Spirit to assist. The more you fellowship with Him, the more He rubs Himself on you and the blood of our God Yahushua Ha-Mashiach His Son (Jesus Christ) continues to cleanse us. 1John 1:7
Saints of the Most High God Yahweh, the word teaches us that YAHWEH is transcendental, that is He is above and that He is not limited to the same Creation that He created for himself, in Himself by Himself.

Notice how David always talks about God Sovereignty in Psalms, he was in a better position because he had first-hand experience with God, that was only obtained by staying with him in fellowship, time spent in guarding his father’s flock was used wisely and God revealed Himself to him, the sooner we become like David and realise that when you devote time for fellowship and mingled together more shall be revealed

Scripture talking about Sovereignty of God:

“God is above all things and before all things. He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. He is immortal, and He is present everywhere so that everyone can know Him.” Revelation 21:6

“God created all things and holds all things together, both in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible” Colossians 1:16

“God knows all things past, present, and future. There is no limit to His knowledge, for God knows everything completely before it even happens” Romans 11:33

God can do all things and accomplish all things. Nothing is too difficult for Him, and He orchestrates and determines everything that is going to happen in your life, in my life, in America, and throughout the world. Whatever He wants to do in the universe, He does, for nothing is impossible with Him.

“Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17

In conclusion

God’s sovereignty compels us to bow before Him. But unlike earthly kings, God rules in love. He loves you and wants the best for you. Romans 8:28 “Promises that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”

God is in control of all things and rules over all things. He has power and authority over nature, earthly kings, history, angels, and demons. Even Satan himself has to ask God’s permission before he can act (Psalm 103:19). That’s what being sovereign means. It means being the ultimate source of all power, authority, and everything that exists. Only God can make those claims; therefore, it’s God’s sovereignty that makes Him superior to all other gods and makes Him, and Him alone, worthy of worship.

There is No God like YAHWEH
